Winter is a wonderful time of year to visit the World's first national park. As snow falls and winter temperatures set in, animals gather in the lower elevation areas of the park. This means chances of seeing animals interact with each other is at a peak. Let me show you all the best areas in the wintery northern range of Yellowstone! Enjoying the winter landscape, spotting an abundance of animals and soaking in a hot springs is the preferred way to experience Yellowstone in the winter!
Your day will start by heading straight to the Lamar Valley in the morning to view wildlife - make sure you bring a camera! We will drive through the Lamar Valley and stop along the road where the animals are most active. There is a good chance to see bison grazing, wolves playing and maybe even wolves hunting!
We will head further into the mountains past Lamar Valley to view the stunning Barronette Peak. At Barronette Peak, you can view dozens of majestic icefalls as they cling to the rocky peak above.
Next we will make our way back to Mammoth Hot Springs. Your guide will teach you about Yellowstone's hydrothermal history and take you through the historic village and maze of boardwalks as hot spring steam billows through the cold air. The travertine terraces will leave you wondering how such intricate rock formations are created!
End your winter trip to Yellowstone with a relaxing soak at the beautiful Yellowstone Hot Springs. Enjoy a long soak in this historic flow-through springs before we return you to your lodging.

Price After Commercial Use Fee (Total Price):
In the unlikely event that a trip must be cancelled by the provider - Roam Yellowstone Guiding - (due to weather, equiptment failure, emergencies, etc.) you will recieve a full refund of the tour price paid to Roam Yellowstone Guiding. Other travel expenses are not reimbursed.
Enhanced Cancellation Policy (most flexible): Receive a 95% refund of the tour price for cancellations made before 8:00am the day BEFORE the tour date (approx. 24 hrs in advance). This option must be checked and paid for during the booking checkout.
Example: You Safari Tour is booked for July 27th. You have a family emergency come up and need to cancel. If you bought enhanced terms at checkout, you can cancel before 8:00am on July 26th and recieve a 95% refund of the tour price - no questions asked. The enhanced cancellation fee ($95) is non refundable.
Standard Cancellation Policy (less flexible): A 25% down payment is collected at the time of booking which is refundable if cancelled over 1 year before the tour.
A 75% refund is given for cancellations greater than 2 week before the tour date.
No refund is given for cancellations within 2 weeks of the tour date.
